Behind the Scenes: Marketing Daniel Soul

Creating the marketing campaign for Daniel Soul took creativity, planning, and research into what works best in the music industry. Our plan is based on ideas from successful campaigns and uses modern tools to help build Daniel’s brand.


Defining Daniel Soul’s Brand

Daniel is a 23-year-old artist whose heartbreak and resilience are embedded in his music. His neutral tones of browns and whites are an extension of himself and his raw, emotive sound. He is a relatable, down-to-earth artist like Olivia Rodrigo and Ed Sheeran, both of whom have connected personal stories with their fans.

Our Strategy

Live Performances: Following Ed Sheeran’s grassroots approach, Daniel will perform at small venues like community events and bars to connect with local audiences.

Social Media: Inspired by Olivia Rodrigo’s TikTok success, we’ll launch trends such as:
Breakup Glow-Up Challenges to reflect the song’s theme.
Reaction videos and duets to engage fans.

Streaming Platforms: Using Spotify and Apple Music to pitch the single to curated playlists, paired with targeted ads to reach listeners who enjoy similar genres.

Visual Content: Designing clean, minimalist visuals using Canva to reflect Daniel’s streetwear aesthetic.


The Music Video
The video for “For Her” will focus on heartbreak and healing, using muted tones and urban, outdoorsy backdrops to highlight Daniel’s style. Inspired by Olivia Rodrigo’s “traitor” video, it will use intimate close-ups and emotional storytelling to connect with viewers.
